A possibly earlier reference can be found in
Handschriftliche Schätze aus Kloster-Bibliotheken, umfassend
sämmtliche vierzig Hauptwerke über Magie, verborgene Kräfte,
Offenbarungen und geheimste Wissenschaften (Köln am Rhein 1743. Bei Peter Hammer Erben), but this
imprint is thought to be fictitious, and possibly also a production of Johann Scheible.
See Stephan Bachter, Anleitung zum Aberglauben Zauberbücher und
die Verbreitung magischen "Wissens" seit dem 18. Jahrhundert.

In any event, the first known printed editions are thought to be
several different version published by Scheible in 1849, 1851, and 1853.
